The ooma VOIP service was launched on July 1st, 2007 and has been receiving some positive reviews.

One of the best reviews is actually by a listener of The Tech Guy broadcast, who called in (using a cordless phone plugged into the ooma box) and said that he was ecstatic over the sound quality he gets with the normal Time Warner Cable internet access, and the fact that the ooma box can also function as an old-fashioned answering machine.
